Energy Toolkit

A toolkit of single-file field instruments for building energy and measurement work. Each one runs offline in any modern browser, no build step, no accounts. Source on GitHub under GPL-3.0.

Wattmeter

A single-file, browser-based building energy audit pad for energy managers and professional engineers. Eleven modules cover retrofit economics, EUI benchmarking, blower-door and demand-charge math, NEC service-load and thermal-load calculations, and ASHRAE 90.1 navigation, all offline. Field Instrument 045.

Assay

A compliance checklist that tests a building design against the prescriptive provisions of ASHRAE Standard 90.1 and produces a stamped checklist certifying conformance. The natural downstream of Wattmeter: import a Wattmeter project and the lighting, envelope, building, and climate data pre-populate the checklist, ready for review and the stamp.

Pitot

The workbook a testing and balancing technician fills out, equipment by equipment, while balancing a commercial HVAC system. It captures design intent from the mechanical drawings, records initial, adjusted, and final readings, checks them against design through configurable tolerance bands, and produces a printable TAB report. Named for the pitot tube, the bent pipe that reads the speed of moving air.

Vernier

A logbook for sensor and instrument calibration. Keep the as-found and as-left readings, the reference standard, and the tolerance all in one place. Named for Pierre Vernier's seventeenth-century auxiliary scale, the mechanism that lets a calibrated instrument be read right to its tolerance.
