Notes
Sample rate and PPM take effect on the next connect for USB hardware. The simulator applies them immediately. Direct sampling routes the ADC straight to the antenna for HF reception without an upconverter; Q branch matches the common dongle modification, and the meaningful range is 0 to 14.4 MHz. Stock dongles without the direct sampling mod will hear HF only weakly.

Measurements at tuned frequency
Decode
Morse (CW) decoder. Tune a CW signal in CW mode, set the threshold, and copied text appears below. RTTY and FT8 are on the roadmap.
RF Lab
Raw IQ constellation straight from the source, plus analyzer settings.

Recordings
IQ capture writes a 2-channel 16-bit WAV (I left, Q right), the format SDR# and friends exchange. Audio capture records the demodulated output at line level, unaffected by the volume knob. Recordings live in memory until downloaded; 10 seconds of IQ at 2.4 MS/s is roughly 96 MB.
Replay
Feed a recorded IQ WAV back through the whole receiver: spectrum, waterfall, demodulators, decoder. Loops until stopped. If the filename carries an SDR-style frequency tag (..._14265000Hz_...) the dial follows it.
Journal
Log what you hear. Entries capture the tuned frequency and mode automatically and live in this browser (localStorage) until you export them.

Station position, Maidenhead grid, and great-circle bearing to a target grid. Position is stored locally and shown in the status bar.

Self Test
Browser-runnable test harness. All lamps must be green before a release ships.
Commissioning
First hardware session, SHAKEDOWN style. Run the steps in order with a dongle connected and a known reference on the air (WWV on 10.000.000, a local NOAA transmitter, or a signal generator). The simulator works as a dry run and results are marked as such.
