A decoded number is not automatically gallons. METERTRACE stores the raw value and the conversion separately so calibration can be revised later without destroying the original evidence.

Privacy

Meter IDs and water-use history can reveal occupancy patterns. METERTRACE defaults to local storage, has no cloud account requirement, and does not upload meter data. Neighboring broadcasts may be visible during discovery; retain only data needed for meters you are authorized to monitor.
